Exploring Los Angeles, the place where movies are made, you feel like you’re in a dream. And the reason for all this glitz and glamour? Hollywood, of course! Sitting high on a hill, the iconic sign is visible for miles around, while below the gold stars on Hollywood Boulevard immortalize celebrities of past and present. Be there on premiere night to see them grace the red carpet of Grauman’s Chinese Theater.
Over the hill is Universal Studios, with behind-the-scenes tours as well as rides. Next door are the Warner Brothers Studios, and Paramount Studios are closer to Downtown LA.
Whether you decide to live like a star in a luxury LA hotel or choose a cheap motel through Booking.com, it’s worth renting a car to get around this sprawling city and out to Los Angeles Airport (LAX).

Honestly, I don't like LA a lot.
Honestly, I don't like LA a lot. I prefer Santa Barbara, San Francisco or Monterey in terms of city. LA is a very expensive city because all the touristic points are kinda far from each other and your options to move in the city are subway, uber or rent a car. The issue is that in the subway you'll find a lot of users under the influence and, for first time travelers, it must be a shock. But it's the easiest way to move around. The ubers are very expensive and renting a car will increase your chances to get in a lot of traffic jam. There are some nice places such as the Farmer Market, observatory, Santa Monica and the Parks (universal and Disneyland). And of course the walk of fame but I found very tacky and ugly. The food is also good, you can find very nice restaurants and coffee. Bottega Louie was my favorite as well as the food in Farmers Market. So my advice is to stay in a strategic place where you can avoid traffic jam and visit the places around. And plan a short stay and visit other places such as Santa Barbara, San Francisco and San Diego.

Great places to visit - hike to Hollywood sign, helicopter ride over the city, Laguna Beach, Venice beach, Santa Monica Pier. Not so great - expensive! Busy during rush hours, big city to get around so need a car. Difficult to find healthy food options as few and far between. Prepare to queue!

Went there is visit family and watch Dodgers games. They were very accommodating as they won every game we saw (who could ask for anything more). We also went to several comedy clubs. What a great deal that is. . no fee just a request order two things (drink or food). Check out Flappers in Burbank. Note: they will charge for famous people like Jay Leno.

The staff is always very nice and helpful and the rooms are very quiet.

The other guests were polite and respectful but again this is more like a shared Airbnb so no “community vibe”. The host is not on location but responded any time I needed anything.
